SUE GOETZ, LCSW I received all my formal education on the East coast. I earned a graduate degree in 2000 from the University at Buffalo, with a specialization in child and adolescent mental health. My undergraduate work was completed at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. I graduated from both institutions magna cum laude. I am licensed in the state of California as a licensed clinical social worker. I have lived and worked in Sacramento since 2000. Prior to being in private practice, my experience includes work in the foster care system, children’s mental health, inpatient psychiatric for adolescents, outpatient intensive program for adults, and emergency room social work. My diverse experience working with teens and families enable me to help you achieve well-being in your family or personal life. I run a private practice in midtown Sacramento as a psychotherapist for adolescents and adults. I counsel 15 to 20 adolescents in an average week, therefore I feel well versed in the challenges facing modern day teens and their families. I also love working with adults! I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is highly effective in work with trauma, including abuse, complicated grief, bullying, and phobias. Both adolescents and adults have benefited from EMDR treatment in seeing faster, longer lasting therapeutic results. I’ve expanded my office by taking on an MFT Intern: Stella Delgadillo. Stella works under my supervision with teens, adults, couples, and families. An MFT intern has a masters degree in counseling and is accruing hours of supervision before they can sit for their licensing exams.
